She has a talent for combining a good romance with a strong plot, action, humor and characters that I can truly care about, to create a really good story. There are plenty of reviews already written on this book that explain the plot, so let me just share with you what I enjoyed about it instead. Duncan was also what I’ve come to expect from a Garwood’s hero: Garwood’s books being on the steamy side, but either my memory has deceived me or this one just wasn’t quite as hot as some of her others. It has what one look hinor a historical fiction; the historical setting, intrigue, romance, suspense and a well laid plot.
Madelyne the sister of his enemy plans to escape her brothers abuse, but first she feels compelled honot save the poor warrior from certain death. While I can’t say that Honor’s Splendour is my personal favorite Garwood book, it is a good read that I would certainly recommend. I really hope this is true.
